Former UFC 135 champion Ronda Rousey has been a topic of interest with a potential career starting in WWE on Monday Night Raw or Tuesday Night Smackdown. With the announcement from Stephanie McMahon that on January 28th 2018 that there will be an all women’s Royal Rumble. You have to wonder, is this Ronda Rousey’s debut? Do you think they would have her win the Royal Rumble? Here are the reasons I think they would have her enter winning the Royal Rumble for the women.
Ronda Rousey is worth big money
It is estimated Ronda Rousey earned 3 million in being knocked out by Amanda Nunes in her last fight. Refer to Google Citation. Ronda is not going to come in for a cheap pay off, Ronda is a big name that costs a lot of money in what ever venue she stars in. If you have Ronda Rousey debut winning the Royal Rumble may be the perfect way to get her to the main event spot quickly. Also to a lot of fans this is also the perfect way to get her to our dream match facing Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania for the Smackdown Women’s championship. Although for the money you pay for Ronda it may be worth promoting her on the Royal Rumble rather than keeping her a secret because she is going to draw a large paying crowd.
Ronda Rousey is the embodiment of a Wrestle Mania women’s star.
Ronda Rousey could write the book on how to sell a wrestling rivalry. Just look at the rivalry between Rousey and Miesha Tate. This rivalry was so intense it what got me to become a paying UFC fan! Many MMA women’s fighting fans would pay to watch the third fight of this rivalry, that is how good it was. Now imagine Ronda showing game face to sell a promo against Charlotte Flair for Wrestle Mania! I’d speculate that she could be the highest draw for women to sell wrestling tickets.
So I am not sure if Ronda Rousey is going to debut and win the Royal Rumble, but I am sure it is an idea fans would be entirely enthusiastic for.
