You know social media is that thing that evolved from the practice of finding casual sex on the internet in 1995″-Ashton Deroy.

At the end of the day, you probably do not need a Linkedin. It is a hoard of people on a bandwagon of stupidity thinking “Oh Linkedin leads to employment.” It does not. You want a job, go to a job board. If you want to get sex, go to Linkedin!

Three critical questions you have to be asking yourself about Linkedin:

  1. Why do employers need to see what I look like? – We stopped sending headshots with our resumes unless we are models! Why do people need to see you over the dress and over marketed when that is not even you most of the time? Also, the fact is Linkedin allows employers to discriminate against you for racism before you even get in the interview.
  2. How valid are your Facebook friends as employment references? – I still believe a letter of reference validates someone more than Linkedin endorsements. If someone takes the time to write a page on you that says a lot more than if someone just hit a ten-second approval on Linkedin.
  3. Who is really using my information? – Is it employers? Or is it marketers? Linkedin uses a typical social media platform that relies on ads for cash flow. In fact in the post below the promo, I show how Linkedin psychologically encourages more employment candidates to join than actual employers. Only 1/10 Linkedin users get any job leads from it.

Why use a web publisher.png

Hello WordPress Readers, Facebook friends, & YouTube viewers.

Why do you want to use a web publisher instead of a developer? A developer cares about developing and maintaining your website. They do not care about your business, sales or marketing success with your website. A web developer is a good option if you need a massive internal system with logins, massive data collection, and CRM support. A publisher is great because they can lead you in the direction of creating positive brand content.

Here are three reasons why a Publisher better suits servicing your business:

  1. We care about sales success through the website – A developer only really cares about “Does the website function?” Sure you can have a functional website easily that never convinces anyone to buy anything. If you want to sell goods or services however you need someone who gives function advice, content advice and researches the most brand effective content for your page.
  2. Business & Customer service expertise – Ever talked to a web developer and realize “No one has taught this computer geek any manners.” Personally, I check in with people I have helped and I do that without looking to upsell them at all at times.
  3. Get found – Web developer specializes in execution. Web Publishers specialize in getting you found. Especially if you are a start of a business. The biggest challenge for a starter business in drop shipping, E-commerce and more is just breaking obscurity.

So stop hiring complicated designer nerds. What you need is a publicist. Someone who takes a drop shipping company and turns it into a lifestyle brand. Someone who takes starving artists and turns them in to press sensations.  Not someone who only cares if the website and graphics are purely functional!

Linkedin essentially just volunteers your employment information for open solicitation.

Linkedin is a social media that is designed to help employees connect with employers. If that sounds like a complicated pointless innovation. That thought may not be wrong. What happens when you incentive employees to join a media but don’t incentive employers?

What is social media? It is a medium with a profile with your picture on it that you use for messenger and sharing way too much in public status updates.

You know social media is that thing that evolved from the practice of finding casual sex on the internet in 1995″-Ashton Deroy.

What went from just a bunch of nerds in their mom’s basements looking for pointless sex on their Friday night. evolved in to our every day lives and shaped us as consumers.

Match.com– Started in 1995

LinkedIn– Founded in 2002, Parent company is Microsoft.

Facebook– Founded in 2004

Now in 2018 most educational institutions and Employment centers are telling you that you need Linkedin. Do you really need Linkedin though? Do you really need to prostitute your proprietary information to get a job?

“I find Linkedin to be an unverifiable tool for employment. People lie about the length of their employment, education and special skills. Then it is endorsed by their personal network not because it is true but because they are friends and they have loyalty. Leading to people endorsing a ton of false information. It is a more useless Facebook.” – Anonymous Recruiter

This meme also explains how Linkedin shows current employers without permission that employees might be trying to escape their current employment.

If we hate this app why are we using it so much and giving it our information? It is simple educators and employment counselors bombard us with the fact that we need this. We must need this right? I mean you are not going to get a job in Marketing, engineering or tech without it? That must be true! Right?

According to Dr. Cal he is a successful author, computer engineer and guest speaker with 0 Social media! Whaaaaaaaaaat?”  He also explains how social media is a marketing tool not an essential communications tool. He also makes some valid comparisons for social media and gambling. He also said that social media companies hire attention engineers to make them as addictive as possible. “It is not a fundamental technology just a use of entertainment.”-Dr. Cal.

Furthermore according to Alana Skye whose parents hire in Real estate & Marketing. Employers aren’t going from your resume to your Linkedin.

“My Mom looks straight at their Facebook when she looks in to hiring and it is better if you don’t have one at all. Rather than one with stupid shared content.” – Alana Skye

I am asking you if you are reading this and you shape minds or potential employees. Maybe encourage them to quit the social media trap!

Why do employers not like LinkedIn? It is useless!

Want to connect with me on LinkedIn? Yeah I am on there… Sure, we can connect.
